Tips on using Submittable:

  • You can save a draft of your work if you would like to finish filling out the form at a later date. There is an autosave feature, but you can also manually save your draft by clicking the button at the bottom of the form.

  • We will follow up with you about your submission by email. Please be sure to safelist notification emails from Submittable and check the email you used to sign up for your Submittable Account regularly.

Forest County Potawatomi Foundation Grant Program Guidelines

Grant applications submitted for funding consideration are only accepted using our on-line application process. Applicants must be 501C(3) as determined by the IRS and will be validated through GuideStar and the Forest County Potawatomi (FCP) Foundation.  

The FCP Foundation Advisory Committee reviews all applications and provides funding recommendations to the FCP Executive Council. In evaluating applications, the Advisory Committee considers a range of factors, not limited to the eligibility criteria listed below. Final review and approval of funding decisions are made by the Executive Council and submitted to the Foundation.  

Eligibility: 

  • Must be an organization located within the State of Wisconsin and have a physical office dwelling.
  • Must have 3 years of continued operating history as a registered 501C(3)
  • Grants must be used to advance a charitable purpose
  • Organizations may apply only once per a 12-month period
  • Understands the mission of the FCP Foundation
  • Board Members profile
  • History & reputation of the organization
  • Financial stability and the ability to leverage other funds

 Program Areas Considered: 

  • Arts & Culture
  • Economic Development
  • Education (After School Programs Only)
  • Environmental
  • Health Services
  • Human Services
  • Native American
  • Youth Development

 The FCP Foundation Does Not Consider Support Of:

  • Foundations, Groups or Organizations that re-grant the funds to other Organizations or Institutions
  • Fiscal or Fiduciary Agents on behalf of Organizations that lack a Registered 501C(3) status
  • General Operating Expenses
  • Capital Projects
  • Sponsorships, Fundraising Events or Festivals
  • Individual causes or Requests
  • Political causes, Candidates or Campaigns
  • Churches or Religious Organizations (unless it is a program that benefits the community)

 

Grant Application Deadlines  We accept grant applications (3) times annually during the following cycles:

1. Cycle 1

  • Opens: August 1
  • Closes: September 22

2. Cycle 2

  • Opens: December 1
  • Closes: January 22

3. Cycle 3

  • Opens: April 1
  • Closes: May 22

All applications must be submitted by 11:59PM CST on the closing date of each cycle. Late submissions will not be accepted. Applications should be submitted at least 4 months prior to or the beginning of programs and or projects.
